I got some really nice cherry from family friends recently. This is one of my favorite ways to handle the wood. The blue over green milk paint on the hand carved base pairs well with the natural color of the woods rim. I like these more enclosed forms too for salad bowls as they keep veggies better contained when mixing or digging for the good stuff. The heavy duty, durable finish makes it easy to use and clean.
