This is a great bowl for eating, serving and general kitchen use. This pearwood is very dense and has a lovely warm tone. I haven’t turned much of it because it’s very challenging to work, but the results are worth it. Full disclosure, there is a knot at the bottom of the bowl which is filled with epoxy. I don’t think it takes away from the bowl at all, and it remains food safe and ready for use.
