I love the contrasting colors in this piece of cherry! The piece of wood is taken from a spot where a branch joins the trunk, giving the heartwood and sapwood some unusual movement and some nice grain with a bit of curl. The shape here is very nice too, adding a bit of lift to this rather deep form.
