Large Spalted Oak Bowl
This tree was suffering from disease and needed to be taken down by a friend. Most of it we were able to mill in to boards, but a few pieces I saved to turn. This piece has some lovely spalting in the sapwood. It’s a great size for big salads or for mixing in the kitchen. It’s sealed with some serious hardwax oil to ensure it lasts for years with very little maintenance!
